Alexander Wang Autumn Winter 2011

Alexander Wang has really found himself a niche with his designer street wear, and this collection features some great casual wear pieces, like the biker-style parka and the cocoon-shaped knit dresses. His formal suit references were hit and miss, the peach satin tuxedo bermudas looked incredibly tacky, however the sheer blouses with front pin tucks and cumberbund pleats looked fantastic.

head to toe peach for winter. That coat is sublime but those satin tuxedo bermudas are pretty gross.

the parka capes I've seen now at Altuzarra and Alexander Wang. Although Wang's is far more on brand, and looks a bit nicer.

    I’m curious…why don’t you like three-quarter length pants? I think the side zipper on these is really hot and personally, I’d buy these.

    I just don’t like 3/4 length pants at all, unless they are super slim cigarette style pants, worn with ballerina flats. I think I’ve been traumatised from living in Kerrisdale and seeing soccer moms walk around wearing disgusting 3/4 length yoga pants or 3/4 length cargo pants.

    That tuxedo blazer with puffy sleeve just makes the model look like she has really fat arms. I love the sweater dress.

    Yes, but it seems like its all about the fat arms next season, with the fur sleeves being in so many shows! :-) That’s a trend for the Man Repeller!
