Bottega Veneta Autumn Winter 2011

I feel like crying. Seriously. First of all, the assholes at British Airways have no idea where my luggage is. (Why am I not surprised? This appears to be the norm with them) They don’t know if it is on the flight that left London a few hours ago, so basically, the only information they’ve been able to give me is that they don’t know where it is, when it will arrive, and when I will have my luggage back. Thank god (THANK GOD!!!!!!!) I packed some of my Finsk shoes, jewelry, and Kelly bag in my carry-on luggage. British Airways I HATE YOU I HATE YOU I HATE YOU. Did I mention they refuse to assist pregnant women in putting their carry on luggage in the overhead compartments? It is against regulations. What a bunch of jerks.

Plus I don’t like this collection. Of course it isn’t horrible, I don’t think Bottega Veneta or Tomas Maier are capable of horrible, but it isn’t genius like everything else they have done recently. It is very ladylike, which is fine, but some bits look a bit too Prada, and the some of the fabrics look cheap rather than innovative.

I love…

crazy textures.

that amazing tweed-like fabric and the layers of sheer fabric falling overtop it.

a beautiful lace draped dress.

the lace/net overlay and the warm colours with black.

I loathe…

that this looks too Prada. It doesn't have the Bottega signature, although it is pretty...

a jacket that looks cheap, which is the complete opposite of every single thing you'd expect from Bottega Veneta.

an ugly dress. Sob! I hate that I am seeing this at Bottega Veneta.

a mess. A bad mess.
