Calvin Klein Autumn Winter 2011

I have really been enjoying Francisco Costa’s recent Calvin Klein collections, I feel he has done a great job embracing the minimal roots of the brand. Everyone applauds Céline, but I think it is the Americans, particularly Kors and Klein, who have always done minimalism best. But this doesn’t mean he can’t go wrong, and although there were a lot of great looks in this show, I felt there was nothing extraordinary.

I love…

a great grey shift dress.

a very simple nude dress.

the proportions of that jacket, with its lovely sloped shoulder, three quarter length sleeve, and box shape.

I loathe…

a coat that is too oversized.
