I complained about the parkas on the American catwalks, but Richard Nicoll‘s parkas were a whole different story. Rather than an expensive, designer version of a garment that shouldn’t normally cost more than a few hundred dollars, Nicoll gave us the super luxe and elegant version. I loved this collection live, and, as I revisit it through the photos. Nicoll has a great way of combining sportswear references with clean lines, geometric seaming, and simple shapes. And his colour palette always includes the most beautiful dusty, tone on tone combinations.
