Well, everyone told me the Academy Awards were boring, and I won’t disagree with that, when it comes to the dresses.
I love…

Left, Amy Adams in L'Wren Scott. She looks very glamorous. Right, Anette Benning in Naeem Khan, a flattering dress and completely age appropriate.

Left, Cate Blanchett in Givenchy Couture. It is so nice to see one of these dresses on the red carpet. Celine Dion in Armani Privé. I never though I'd say something ncice about Dion, but she looks great in this dress, even though it is a bit too tight.

Left, Florence Welch in Valentino Couture. She is probably the only person who can get away with this dress. Right, Gwyneth Paltrow in Calvin Klein Collection. Love the neckline.

Left, Helen Mirren in Vivienne Westwood. She always looks stunning. Right, Jennfier Hudson in Atelier Versace. There is a bit too much cleavage on show, but other than that, this is a great shape on her.
I loathe…

Left, Halle Berry in Marchesa. A boring, prdictable, pouffy, shiny ballgown. Right, Helena Bonham Carter in Colleen Atwood. This woman is a red carpet car crash at the moment.

Left, Hilary Swank in Gucci. This is just boring. Right, Michelle Williams in Chanel Couture. Not very flattering, and leaves little to the imagination.

Natalie Portman in Rodarte. The most uninteresting Rodarte dress ever. Right, Nicole Kidman in Christian Dior Haute Couture. Dior makes the most beautiful couture, why has Kidman chosen the most unimpressive piece?

Left, Sandra Bullock in Vera Wang. Nothing special. Right, Sharon Stone in Dior. Another totally unimpressive Dior number.
I’m not sure about…

Left, Anne Hathaway in vintage Valentino couture. Is this beautiful, or boring? Right, Jennifer Lawrence in Calvin Klein Collection. Is this possibly TOO simple?
