Alexander McQueen Autumn Winter 2011

I would have thought that Sarah Burton would have been thrilled that the attention shifted to the Dior Scandal, and less people were anticipating and talking about what will be her second full collection for Alexander McQueen. She strikes me as the type who likes to keep behind the scenes. But then of course the rumor came out that Alexander McQueen was the chosen brand for Kate Middleton’s wedding dress, and of course the media spotlight was back on Burton. And now everyone is saying OF COURSE all the white in the collection is a reference to the wedding dress. Personally, I don’t quite care what the hell Middleton decides to wear, however, I will be impressed if it is McQueen. That shows she has good taste.

On to the show…very beautiful, lots of amazing handwork, stunning silhouettes, etc… Basically what we all expect from Burton’s McQueen.

I love…

I loathe…

S&M references. They are an unnecessary distraction.

Those boots are to die for! Except for those platform sandals. I just hate shoes where your toes are free to squeeze out of the bottom.
