Giorgio Armani Autumn Winter 2011

The first thing I look at when reviewing a Giorgio Armani show is the number of looks. Armani and Dolce & Gabbana do these marathon shows that are just way too long and repetitive. This one is no different. In fact, it was painful to get through, until the end, where there were a few nice evening pieces.

I love…

wearing trousers under evening wear. This looks really nice.

a loose, pretty evening dress.

I loathe…

collarless evening coats. They are so old.

the ugly pouffy hem on this top.

bad tailoring in weird fabrics.

a coat that looks like it is part of a witch costume.

that I cannot identify what the hell is hanging off that model.

..... I am speechless. I just loathe. And I want to know what is going on with her boobs.

Wow, this is a trainwreck of a collection. How did Armani manage to pull of something like this? It’s like he was blindfolded when he designed this and stitched together a few rags on the models. And I’m guessing that last model is part of the “real” models trend.
