A while back I vowed not to do full catwalk coverage of the resort and pre-fall collections. It is partly because there are just too many to cover, and partly because I hate the way the fashion industry is all about more, more, more. No one ever takes a break. But I do really like this Michael Kors Resort 2012 collection (big surprise, I like everything he does, I know, I am boring, but I just love his American-ness.) He has done the scuba influence better than Proenza Schouler did a few seasons back (was it them? or someone else?), and I love the way it is combined with his slick sportswear style. It is also a little more fun and less serious, which is nice for a resort collection because resorts are all about having fun, aren’t they?
