Most of you have probably read the bad reviews of this Christian Dior Haute Couture show, they were unavoidable. But I don’t think they were completely justified. I’ll agree that there was too much going on, but there were some beautiful pieces in the show and I think the negative reviews came more from the fact that John Galliano wasn’t taking a bow. I didn’t like all the kaftan pieces (well, I liked them, but they didn’t feel couture) however there was all of the expected Dior fantasy, amazing construction and dramatic shapes at the beginning of the show. Maybe just a bit too much of it. But no one wears a whole couture collection at the same time, and individually there are some stunning pieces.

a dress that does not look couture, it looks Diane Von Furstenberg.
too many of these kaftan style dresses. They are beautiful, but not very Dior.
