Givenchy Haute Couture Autumn Winter 2011

I still feel the same way that I felt about the last Givenchy haute couture show, that there isn’t much of a progression from one season to the next. Yes, these dresses are beautiful and the detailing looks like a couture masterpiece. But I just feel the repetitive shapes and colour is too similar to what he did last season, and the one before. I looked back on them, and I can see differences, but perhaps not enough. Although I suppose I shouldn’t complain, compared to Chanel, this collection is stunning. What do you think?

I love…

these gorgeous embellished dresses that Givenchy does so well, but haven't we seen this before?

that this would make a beautiful wedding dress. Its all about the sleeves!

I know he kind of does variations of the same thing, but I just love it every single time. And I just generally love and appreciate his attention to detail.

What did you think of Stephane Rolland’s collection? I thought it was pretty stunning.
