I’ll admit I just don’t understand Jeremy Scott‘s work. He was cool (in my books) for about one season way back when (about ten years ago? I can’t even remember, it was when Karl Lagerfeld befriended him) but since then he has done nothing but design garish, scary clothing. It reminds me too much of nu rave (even though he was around before the dreaded nu rave trend started.) And this Adidas Originals collaboration is no exception, the tiger costume (and it IS a costume, there’s no other way to describe it), heinous animal print outfit (complete with claw tears) and the random wings could really only be worn on Halloween. I can’t believe Adidas actually pays Scott to come up with this stuff, especially since it looks like a collaborative effort by a group of preschool students.
