Christopher Kane Spring Summer 2012

I really didn’t like the swirly gel inserts in Christoper Kane’s last collection, and thankfully things haven’t gotten worse. But sadly, they haven’t gotten much better either. This collection did have some spectacular pleat/cut outs, placed perfectly on dresses and suits, but the rest was a bit disappointing. The tacky florals, preppy clothes that look like Tommy Hilfiger, and some very poorly cut dresses will be difficult to buy from.

I love…

amazing cut outs. Wow.

this crazy blue brocade.

I loathe…

boring preppy clothes on Kane's catwalk. What would possess the customer to go to a cool, young brand like Christopher Kane, and buy something like this?

an uninspiring, uninteresting dress.

super tacky florals.

a sloppy looking dress. Was there even a pattern for this, or did they just sew two rectangles together?

Those florals do indeed look very tacky! They look like something a 12-year-old girl would do to her textbook, sticking a bunch of stickers on to make it prettier and stuff…

And I agree with what you said about that sloppy dress. It looks weird.

The sandals were the worst part, to be honest.

    Yes, they were hideous.
