Let’s keep this Dries Van Noten review short on text and long on images: I love this whole collection and want every single piece. Genius.

I love…

this silhouette. Maybe it is because I just had a baby, but it just looks cool.

this black and white nature print.

I agree with you 100%! This collection was amazing! AMAZING.
The night-scape prints on the skirts were truly orgasmic.

this all looks kinda cheap and potentially designed by a student-ie imo. and there’s just so many other (better) prints out there, particularly this season. i think the 7th photo clashes not very nicely and the lbd with lace looks like i could buy that anywhere, and looke #4 looks like it came straight out of zellers from from like some 90′s INC from the bay or something. AND the LAST look? the whole paint splatter was do so long ago and so many times, and quite frankly it just looks dumb here. i remember the first time i saw it several seasons ago in the ysl collection, paint splatter, that was amazing.

A very uneven collection IMHO. Nice prints (but the “circus” thing, which looks like my old pajamas) and a few breathtaking silhouettes. But some looks were extremely boring, horribly unflattering and didn’t appear luxurious at all. Like the first one, that reminds me of seedy clothes that my grandma buys in cheap boutiques. They add the wearer 20 pounds and 20 years. Anyway, some pieces, like the LBD, were to die for.

I guess in this case we can agree to disagree. Because I think this collection is beautiful, does NOT look cheap, and while its not that new, it is fresh because its unassuming and simple. Alexandra Suhner Isenberg

i think the unimaginative runway itself added to the collection looking cheap/studenty/bleh. but im happy to leave it at us agreeing to disagree :) !
