I was shocked that the first look of this show was super minimal and looked like Celine rather than Marc by Marc Jacobs. But as the show progressed, it became obvious that Jacobs had gone for a very minimal theme for his show, and it worked. Does it look like Celine? Yes. (Which is ironic given the rumours that Jacobs will be doing to Dior and Philo will be replacing him at Vuitton.) But it will be a fraction of the price, allowing for more of us to buy into the chic, minimal look.
