Yes, I know the October issues are already out, but I figure it was ok to wait until September to talk about the September issue covers (imagine that…) Here is part 1 of my September issue cover critiques. Read part 2.
I love…

Jessica Stam on the cover of Flare. Yay to Flare for using a model on their September issue cover, and I've read this issue, it is jammed packed with content and interesting articles (unlike most glossy magazines.)

Rachel Wiesz on the cover of Another. The blue eyeshadow, mustard blazer and baby goat are a winner.

Saskia de Brauw and Doutzen Kroes on the cover of Dutch Elle. They look very supermodelish (you know what I mean, right?)

Gisele Bundchen on the cover of i-D. I know we see her all over the place, and it is getting a bit boring, but I like this simple, pretty shot of her.

Natasha Poly on the cover of i-D. Another perfectly simple, good looking photo. And I like how both i-D covers (there are others) have the model looking straight at you.

Anne Hathaway on the cover of Interview. She is an incredibly boring actress, but thank god someone (Mert & Marcus, to be exact) has done something interesting with her. This looks great.

Lara Stone on the cover of LOVE. I have dedicated a whole separate blog post on these covers, which I think are fantastic. Lara Stone looks like an angel here.
I loathe…

Lily Allen on the cover of FASHION. Not only is this a terrible photo, but the singer-turned-terrible-fashion-designer is NOT worthy of a magazine cover.

Constance Jablonski on the cover of Elle France. Is it just me, or does every single cover of Elle France look the same?

Carmen Kass on the cover of Elle Spain. How does one make Carmen Kass look this bad? It boggles the mind.
