John Galliano Spring Summer 2012

If I had to sum up one word to describe this John Galliano collection, it would be “old.” If I had to add two other words, then I’d add “bad hats.” Some of the shapes in this collection felt far too mature for my liking, and while Bill Gaytten did show some of the beautiful bias cut dresses we’ve come to love from Galliano, there were way too many pieces that felt incredibly stuffy. And those hats, don’t get me started on the hats…

I love…

the floral embellishments on this coat. But I hate the hat.

Galliano bias-cut dresses. This is what we want to see.

I loathe…

that this looks like a boring mother of the bride outfit from a high street store.

more clothing fit for a seventy year old. Which is fine, because those women need clothes too, but I don't think this is what was intended.

a stuffy dress.

I know what you think about visible nipples on the runway, but what do you think about visible thongs? It’s quite tacky imo

Yes, visible thongs are pretty gross too. There were way too many boobs and bums on show this season. Alexandra Suhner Isenberg
