When I lived in London I was a member of a trendy gym, but the branch I used to go to was very serious (unlike their other branch, which was a gay pick up joint and resembled a night club.) People were there to work out, and I liked that there were very few girls dressed up for the gym, as I am sort of against wearing anything other than practical activewear when working out. I once did a boxing class with a girl who had giant hoop earrings on, and I thought that was absolutely ridiculous.
Anyway, I think I could be convinced to make more of an effort at my workouts, now that I’ve discovered Michi activewear. Inspired by lingerie, the collection features leggings, tanks, shorts, and sports bras that actually look incredibly good. Plus they are designed by a Canadian! I won’t say it is now ok to wear leggings as pants, but this might just be the type of activewear you could run errands in or go for coffee after your workout, and not look like a slob. I’m actually in the mood to go to the gym.
