I was looking at the Jason Wu pieces in The Room a few weeks ago, and someone asked me what I thought about his stuff. I said “I love when he does ladylike, and I hate when he does sporty.” I still stand by that, although the sporty lace jackets from the beginning of the show were most definitely an exception. The winners in this show were the dresses with their curvy seam lines, but the losers were the skinny trousers (we don’t go to Jason Wu for that) and the boring evening wear (he can do SO much better!) And lastly, he needs to remember that even though he dresses the new society girl, she is still quite a young one, and doesn’t want to look like she is 50.
