Maybe my Balmain rant about how the French can’t do rock’n'roll was a bit harsh, because Jean Paul Gaultier knows how to inject a little rock into a fashion collection. I guess the difference is that he has been doing it for years, and he never loses the essence of the incredibly seductive, elegant French woman. He is turning 60 this year, which means that the bad boy of French fashion is now a senior citizen. That is scary. At least he hasn’t lost his touch, this collection looked great.
