It has almost become unpleasant to look at the Lanvin collections: look after look of fashion perfection, and almost impossible to re-create on my budget. I think I need to get my sewing machine out and start coping Alber Elbaz’s designs. This collection was the anniversary of his ten years at Lanvin, and he celebrated by showing all the beautiful things we have come to expect from Lanvin: gorgeously simple cocktail dresses with ruflles and gathers in all of the right places, incredibly bold statement jewelry (and he added in some amazing belts, too) and sculpted tailoring that screams luxury and elegance. I suppose we could say that Lanvin is untouchable.
I love…

when a giant belt buckle, a statement necklace, a perfect peplum, and artfully-placed lace meet in perfect harmony.
