Louis Vuitton Fall Winter 2012

If you thought that Marc Jacobs got the ugly Dr. Seuss designs out of his system during his New York show, think again. His Louis Vuitton show is pretty much the same stuff he sent down his New York catwalk, but with less furriness and added porters. My first thought was “who is going to wear these hideous suits?” but then I realized, no one, and that doesn’t matter. The only thing that does matter is the multiple handbags that those porters were carrying.

I love…
Nada. Zip. Zilch.

I loathe…

an ugly silhouette and an even uglier hat.

frumpiness.

ridiculous prints. Come on, WHO is going to wear this suit?

that I've lost count at the number of hideous suits in this show.

that this was even allowed onto an LVMH catwalk.

So is it say to say ginormous jewels attached to clothing was a trend this season?

I appreciate the theater of the show, but really all anyone cares about is the bags.  I feel the same way about Hermes clothing.

Yes, I guess giant chainmail is a trend too.

I agree that Jacobs has essentially been doing a more luxurious version of his eponymous collection for Vuitton since he started there…does he not have more than one idea per season?

He is no Karl Lagerfeld, that’s for sure.
