This Maison Martin Margiela couture collection was BAD. Depressing, in fact, as I expect to be impressed by this brand. This was a mish mash of Balmain-esque embellishment, tacky sheer pants, and mangled ideas that didn’t tell a story. And the one thing I did like should hardly be called an “I love,” it is more of an “I like.”

an uninteresting white suit. We all know Margiela does great tailoring, but can’t you buy off-the-rack Margiela tailoring if you want something simple like this? What makes it couture?
