I’m at that stage in my life where shoes have to be comfortable. I am not prepared to totter on needle thin stilettos and consider walking a struggle. On the other hand, I am not going to start wearing shoes that can be described first and foremost as comfortable (style ALWAYS comes first), or give up my high heels. Which is why I love brands like Établissements Callatay, who make lovely shoes, that look like you could walk in them. Sure, the platforms are high, and there a risk of a broken ankle if you aren’t comfortable walking in them, but I find this type of shoe is usually pretty easy to stomp around in. Unfortunately, the price is a bit too high for a shoe that you’d stomp anywhere in… You’d probably be walking around carefully, making sure you aren’t scuffing them. Sigh.
