Given that I normally love Francisco Costa’s elegant minimalism for Calvin Klein, this collection was a bit disappointing. There were weird geometric bra shapes, ugly iridescent fabrics, and general sloppiness. Not what we expect from a brand that has been delivering consistently simple, beautiful, desirable collections for the past few seasons.
I love…

when someone can make an off-the-shoulder dress (the thing I hate most after strapless) look stunning.
I loathe…

a dress that looks like a young designer gone wrong. This is not perfect, minimal, simple Calvin Klein.

sloppy tailoring. I like the concept of the strips of black, but this should be much more polished to make it onto the catwalk.
