I’ve been debating about writing something special for Halloween, but this year it seems like a bit of an anti climax. First of all, there’s all that crazy weather stuff happening in New York and the surrounding areas, which sucks for the kids out there (Halloween is very important in North America.) They will probably be trick or treating for batteries instead of candy (cue sad face here.) Secondly, it is not my son’s first Halloween (which was very exciting, he was a skunk, by the way) but since it is only his second one, he isn’t doing much. We are going to take him around the block in his tiger costume, and that’s about it. He may be allowed one piece of candy, but I am not pumping him full of sugar (unless he is on his way to daycare. Btw, they don’t allow candy there.) And lastly, my husband and I both have to work so we will be home at 5:45 and rush to get my son’s dinner sorted, the pumpkin lit, answer the door to kids, and get my son around the block all before his 6:30pm bedtime. So basically our typical, stressful weekday evening. And of course I am not dressing up, as I already feel like a clown with my giant pregnant stomach. Which is why I’m just going to post these lovely pictures from this Pinterest page I found called High Fashion Halloween. Some really nice mask ideas for next year, right people?
Happy Halloween everyone! Hope you get lots of Reese’s peanut butter cups (the only chocolate bar that has ever mattered.) p.s. My son isn’t allowed peanuts at his daycare, either. Lame!
