Love: Birds of a Feather

Birds of a Feather makes lovely chain necklaces and studded bracelets.

The Alden sisters clearly have a knack for jewelry. Miriam Alden is half of the duo behind Alden Rae, the most ridiculously simple jewelry concept (a wrap bracelet, in different colours, photo below) that I absolutely love. I wear two attached to each other and wrapped around my wrist eight times.) Her sister Sophie has two lines, Lisbeth jewelry, which is quite feminine and pretty, and Birds of a Feather, which is a really fun, rock’n’roll jewelry collection that is super reasonably priced.

Birds of a Feather bracelets and rings.

I’ve got six of the studded bracelets (yes, I know we’ve seen enough studded jewelry but I still love it) and they are fun to wear individually or as a group. At $20 each, it’s not hard to get some serious arm candy going and these would also make great presents for girlfriends. I also have one of the chain fringe necklaces and it is a lovely piece to wear with knits.

The Alden Rae wrap bracelet: so simple, so cool.

P.S. Both of these girls are Vancouver-based, which is even more of a reason to support them.
