Burberry Prorsum shows have a formula: some bold type of embellishment (this season it was eyelets on straps and stripes), a few really interesting daywear separates, and a crapload of trenches. Too many trenches. It wouldn’t surprise me that Burberry does most of their clothing business with trenches, but do they need to be ALL OVER the catwalk? It feels like the same trench coat over and over and over again. (And I can’t quite figure out why when Diane von Furstenberg puts wrap dresses on the catwalk very season, it’s ok, but Burberry’s trenches exhaust me. Maybe it is because their shows seem to be all about bad indie music, front row, live streaming, Alexa Chung, and never about high fashion.)
I love…
I loathe…

that it is ALWAYS about the trench coat. Prorsum was supposed to be about fashion, not the trench coat. But all we get is trench after trench after trench.
