I certainly didn’t loathe anything in this simple, good-looking Jil Sander show, but I am not particularly excited by it, either. It feels like she hasn’t skipped a beat, she’s come back from her absence doing exactly the same thing she was doing before: ultra minimal, classic clothing. The problem is, this kind of thing is easy to find now (I’m thinking COS, this whole collection could be COS) and if she’s gone back to the same price point she was known for (which was extraordinarily high, even by luxury standards) I don’t see the appeal. With so many brands doing this look so well, has she made herself slightly redundant?
I love…
