Prada Fall Winter 2013

It is probably fashion sacrilege to say this, but for me, Prada is touch and go. Sometimes I just don’t get what she is doing, other times, I think it looks amazing. This season is the latter. The random fabric combinations, odd versions of classic silhouettes, and the retro references suddenly all made sense. It is a beautiful collection. But why are the models hair wet?

I love…

the slightly disheveled skirt suit.

an awesome sleeve.

the full skirt suit, in teal. And those fur sleeve cuffs.

a ladylike teal leather coat with a draped fur sleeve cuff. To die for.

the best LBD of the season, so far.

    Yeah, it’s pretty perfect Prada.

When I saw the first look I thought she was doing post-sex women :D Something messy, after messy one-night thing… And then, when it continued, I just wondered why the hair was wet. Just like you :D

i just liked the oversized ribbed at the bottom jackets (that was in her mens collection) and the skirts

Oh, thank fuck she’s done with the tacky daisy prints ARGH!

It was one of the strongest and more cohesive collections of her in the past 2 years in my opinion. I didn’t fall in love with everything but I am glad it is not all over the place. The coats and crochet dresses are the strongest point of this collection. Gingham is definitely coming back for this season.

Yes, and cohesive is a good word here, as many of her collections are quite scattered.

I didn’t like the bags and hated (!!) most of the belts, but the clothes were lovely :D
