I was surprised to see Acne on the list of shows in Paris. Why did they leave London? Or perhaps, the real question should be, why did they leave Stockholm? They were better off being a big fish in Stockholm, than a small fish in Paris. I feel like this brand tries too hard. The fact is, they do most of their business in jeans, and I wonder why they don’t just try and be that ultra cool jeans and casual wear brand (think a Swedish version of Alexander Wang) rather than try and do all this fancy stuff that ends up looking ridiculous. Because sadly, that’s the word that best describes most of this show: ridiculous.
P.S. I’d like to see their founder, Jonny Johansson, design menswear for himself, not ultra skinny clown men who wear gross multi-coloured patchwork.

the first time I’ve seen massive wide leg pants that actually look nice (it is because they are not drop crotch.) Although it may be that those wide pieces are actually some kind of chaps. If that’s the case, I don’t like this.
