Alexander McQueen Fall Winter 2013

While I commend Sarah Burton for putting on a reduced Alexander McQueen show (only ten looks) because she is pregnant, I am thinking she may have been better off skipping the show completely. The reason? It was a disaster, and I don’t think we can blame this on baby brain.

    She should have just skipped this season instead of parading these looks. It felt so contrived.

    I don’t want to say the brand isn’t what it used to be (because that sounds pretentious), but the brand isn’t what it used to be. Am I the only one getting tired of seeing the same gilded dresses each season? Sure, the construction and ideas are impressive, but I’d really like to see something I lust after, something that looks different than everything that came after Sarah Burton started.
