Beauty Brief: Dermalogica Daily Microfoliant

dermalogica, exfoliation, skin care, beauty brief

During facials I am often told I need to exfoliate more often, but I’ve always been a bit hesitant to vigorously scrub my skin. My doubts about frequent exfoliation were confirmed when I read this interview with Tata Harper (who has a lovely natural skincare range) by my colleague Anya at Vitamin Daily. She basically says women over 30 shouldn’t exfoliate or do peels very often, because it thins the skin. So I don’t. But I won’t lie, occasionally I feel the need for a bit of a scrub, and I’ve found this Dermalogica Daily Microfoliant to do the job quite nicely. I use it once a month (definitely not daily!), and it smoothes out the skin really well. At $72, it is not cheap. But it is a powder, stores well, and lasts a long time if you are only using it once a month.

Love this product. Another good similar product is Eminence’s Strawberry Rhubarb Dermafoliant, for those looking for an all natural route.

Baking soda will do the job just fine. At $2, it’s natural and effective in cleaning your skin.
