When I saw the images from the set of this show, I got a bit excited. Then I saw the clothes.
This show was awash with awkward proportions, tacky looking materials, space costumes, and weird silhouettes that aren’t flattering at all. I don’t know what Lagerfeld is trying to do, but it certainly isn’t working. If my design students had brought me sketches like this (with the accompanying fabric swatches) I would have sent them straight back to the drawing board.

these awkward jacket proportions. They just don’t work.
that there are a ton of designs in this show that remind me of what eccentric fourty/fifty year olds wore in the late eighties and early nineties. That’s not a good thing, by the way.

that I just can’t understand why anyone would want to put this on the catwalk. And don’t get me started on the hats.
an outfit that looks like it is made from those horrible, cheap, scratchy synthetic materials from the costume section of the fabric store.
