Giambattista Valli Couture Fall 2013

Anyone out there searching for wedding dress inspiration should take a look at this Giambattista Valli couture show. It has an incredible selection of light coloured dresses in all sorts of shapes and cuts, perfect for the summer wedding, classic wedding, church wedding, party wedding, or destination wedding. You could also wear a lot of these dresses to fancy parties or very special luncheons, but since I don’t really go to a lot of luncheons, nor can I afford couture, I think I’ll have to be content with appreciating these dresses in the photos.

I love…

Valli’s signature frouffiness underneath a very voluminous skirt. How fun would it be to wear this? Perfect for a second wedding…

full skirts, perfectly executed cuts, and a little bit of embroidery.

cocoon-esque silhouettes with waists.

couture t-shirt dresses.

I loathe…

big panties on show. Totally unnecessary.

This is one of the shows I liked best… but then again, it was because most of the clothes I already loved from other shows: the white/purple embroidery from the Chanel Marie Antoinnette show from last year, the porcelain pattern from Cavalli, the long full colourfull skirts that Oscar de la renta showed in yellow and green… I don’t know…

I get what you are saying but Valli does have his own personal handwriting and it is awesome, even though you can see where some of the other ideas might have come from.

at least he presented something beautiful and consistent.
