Dries Van Noten Spring Summer 2014

A stellar spring summer 2014 show from Dries Van Noten featuring beautiful ruffled rows of pleats and his usual stunning prints. This collection seemed to be more evening and cocktail focused than normal, or maybe he is just trying to encourage us to wear more gold clothing during the day. I can get behind that.

I love…

little gold pleats halfway up the side.

a dash of gold under a cream wool coat.

a pretty print and a pleated sleeve.

tasteful metallic floral prints.

more great stuff with florals and pleats, this row of ruffled pleats actually runs up the front and down the back in a curved shape.

i love dries but i thought the floral print was pretty fug and he definitely went a little overboard with the rufflage in this collection.. it was looking far too ruffle applique a la some project runway creation. i liked it on the sides of the dresses though.
