Jonathan Saunders Spring Summer 2014
Jonathan Saunders entered the fashion scene as a print designer, and one of the main complaints about his work in the early days was that he was not a fashion designer, and he wasn’t good at clothes. Well, that still stands. But this season, he also seems to have lost the knack of designing prints and patterns, or choosing nice colour combinations. The result? This collection is rather ugly.
the only outfit where the colour combinations aren’t an eyesore.
a very disappointing opening look: greasy hair, tacky satin shorts, a sheer blouse, and gross flat sandals (WHAT is with all the flat sandals this season!?!?!)
really bad colour combinations.
that this looks really cheap and horrible.
a tacky mix of patterns. Jonathan, you are at least supposed to be good at this.
when it appears that the designer thinks sticking a bomber jacket over everything is going to solve its problems. It’s not.
