Marc Jacobs Fall 2014

If this is a sign of what we can expect from post-Louis Vuitton Marc Jacobs, then I am excited. In fact, I don’t think I have been this happy with a Marc Jacobs-designed collection in at least five years. Highlights included head to toe jersey daywear, seventies inspired evening, beautifully worked furs, and a selection of outstanding dresses that were decorated with rows of sheer ruffles. Could Marc Jacobs have his mojo back?

I love…

beautiful, simple jersey day dresses. I could live in these next fall.

layers of jerseys and knits. Very Halston-ish but feels kind of fresh, too.

that designers are finding all sorts of cool places to put fur trim this season.

70’s inspired evening wear. This is gorgeous.

I loathe…

sheer tops and really badly cut jodhpurs.
