I think this might be the first season ever that I love more campaigns than I loathe. Read part two and part three.
3.1 Phillip Lim featuring Tilda Lindstam shot by Vincent Van de Wijngaard. A great photo and a great coat.
Chanel featuring Cara Delevingne shot by Karl Lagerfeld. I think this series is a bit tacky but it’s nice to look at.
Dolce & Gabbana featuring Claudia Schiffer and others shot by Domenico Dolce. I know it is the same old crowded images they do every season, but I do usually like them and this one has Claudia Schiffer.
Giorgio Armani featuring Marikka Juhler shot by Solve Sundsbo. Way to make Armani look really modern and cool.
Jil Sander featuring Iselin Steiro shot by Karim Sadli. A dramatic shot and perfect representation of this brand (which is funny, because they didn’t actually have a creative director for this season…)
Lanvin featuring Edie Campbell and her family shot by Tim Walker. This is awesome.
Miu Miu featuring Stacey Martin shot by Steven Meisel. They do that whole sixties mod thing so well.
Prada featuring Mica Arganaraz and Karl Kolbitz shot by Steven Meisel. Stark background, bold geometric print, and serious models – this is Prada to a T.
Tom Ford shot by the man himself. Let’s just line up a whole bunch of really good looking women dressed in sexy, glamorous clothes and call it a day. Works for me.
Alberta Ferretti featuirng Mariacarla Boscono shot by Peter Lindbergh. The whole feathery dress + fairy in the forest thing is so predictable for this brand.
Balmain featuring Cara Delevingne and Jordan Dunn shot by Mario Sorrenti. This could be Balmain from last year, two years ago, or even four years ago.
Givenchy featuring Kendall Jenner shot by Mert and Marcus. “Featuring Kendall Jenner.” Need I say more?
Longchamp featuring Alexa Chung. A boring model, an uninteresting bag, and a dog. The dog is the best part.
Mulberry featuring Cara Delevingne shot by TIm Walker. I was under the impression that this brand was struggling. If this is the case, shouldn’t they at least try to take a nice photo for their ads, instead of sticking an over exposed model dressed like a school girl wearing an ugly backpack on the top of a hill?
Saint Laurent featuring Valery Kaufman shot by Hedi Slimane. Remember when fashion ad campaigns made you aspire to look or dress like the models? I don’t think Hedi does, because not many people want to look like this.
