I’ve yet to be truly excited by any collection this season. Let’s hope the last shows of Paris impress. For now, here is part 2. Read part 1 of my Paris shows here.
that Chalayan is making wearable, beautiful dresses free of gimmicks.
this cool, cute Isabel Marant dress. Her designs are usually nice, but the hype around the brand is silly.
Undercover’s amazing trench coat.
when Maison Martin Margiela looks clean but interesting.
Maiyet’s seriously beautiful tailoring.
that there is something in Junya Watanabe’s collection I would actually wear (this t-shirt.)
Haider Ackermann Spring 2015. This is a really nice collection.
that while no one is actually going to wear their catwalk stuff, Comme des Garcons is still doing crazy ass sh*t.
that Celine looks modern and elegant, even though the collection is a tad bit over designed, in my opinion.
a floaty white Chloe dress. This is a wardrobe must-have.
this slick coat from John Galliano. Although I disapprove of the fact that this brand is still in business. I don’t see the point.
that Akris wins for best minimalist collection this season.
that JW Anderson’s Loewe is kind of sloppy and over designed.
when Christian Dior is a whole lot of nothing special.
that Mugler looks American and boring.
when I wonder if there is any point in wearing a top at all? I think Acne Studios forgot one of the main purposes of wearing clothes.
that this is Jean Paul Gaultier’s last RTW collection, because he knows how to put on a show. You will be sorely missed!
Kenzo’s weird collection. This isn’t cool or hip or modern and I thought that was supposed to be what the brand was doing these days…
that although Givenchy was quite sexy and slick, it feels like the whole thing is being designed for Kim Kardashian. And that’s a horrible thought.
