Miu Miu Spring Summer 2011

Normally I’d be jumping for joy while reviewing the MIu Miu show, as it is the last of the season, but unfortunately I have missed a few key designers so I am going to backtrack tomorrow and review Sonia Rykiel, Viktor & Rolf, and Emanuel Ungaro. Miu Miu’s collections are always playful, but this one is definitely more fun than usual. The star motifs and the naive, fun patterns make for some great dresses. I love that Miu Miu’s collections are always a bit disco, a bit fun, but very wearable.

I love…

a bright dress with a star motif.

a very fun cropped silver leather jacket.

the playful motifs printed on the dresses.

the cut-out motif on this neckline. It looks great on the shoes too.

swans.

I loathe…

the motifs on this jacket, they don't look as playful as the other ones, and this looks like something you'd find in a tacky 70's collection.

a jacket for an NFL football player.
