Emporio Armani Menswear Fall Winter 2010

Giorgio Armani and his sub-brands should stick to classic clothing, any attempt to do trendy always seems to backfire. Remember trousergate? This collection has attempted to be too cool, and has taken the sporty theme way too far.

I Adore…

this modern version of the ski sweater.

the fantastic fabrics used on this jacket, resulting in a great mix of textures.

the fact that this graphic jacket print is conservative yet interesting.

I Loathe…

these snowboarding outfits. They are not on-brand, and look silly on the catwalk.

the fact that the snowboarding gear is styled over a naked torso.

that Italians are probably the only guys who would get on the slopes in this get-up.

white suits with black accessories.

these unbelievably tacky trousers.

this “cool guy” look. Its Armani, not streewear.

white pants after labour day. Doubly bad with white shoes.

I’m Torn…

about this look. I love the glue-bound edges on the jacket, but hate that its styled with the stomach showing. Not very practical for the winter.
