Carolina Herrera Fall Winter 2010

Caroline Herrera is one of those brands, sort of like Donna Karan, that is all about the woman behind the name. Carolina Herrera is an elegant, aristocrat, mature woman, who designs for herself. Usually she does a pretty good job of this, but this collection has a lot of weaknesses.

I Love…

the pocket detailing on this coat.

the unusual colour and fabric of this dress, and the fact that she has made a long-sleeved dress that looks young and fashion-forward.

another dress with a great sleeve, this one very luxe with a fur collar.

a very vibrant, pretty, and bright print for a red carpet dress.

I Loathe…

the unflattering trousers, the weird jacket material, and the fact that this model looks very old.

80's Paris couture gone very wrong.

that this outfit adds 50 pounds onto the model.

more of this terrible 80's Paris Couture stuff, so tacky. And the hats make the models look twenty years older.
