Matthew Williamson Fall Winter 2010

Matthew Williamson is another one of those brands that I don’t really like. I think his designs are pretty boring, and he dresses boring upper class British girls when they go on holiday to Ibiza. I suppose it is a question of personal taste, its not like he is a rubbish designer. I guess if I was looking for a sexy colourful dress or kaftan I’d look at Matthew Williamson.

I Love…

this beautiful coat dress. What a great front ruffle.

the fur placement on this coat, a stripe of it on the shoulder and down the sleeve.

this fun little silver top. Its all about grey evening wear! But the trousers are ugly.

a simple dress and a beautifully bright colour. And a nice little raised front hem detail.

the embellishment on this dress. It looks hard and edgy, yet the motifs are feminine and tapestry-like.

I Loathe…

this skirt or dress, worn with this jacket. There is nothing working here. Too many shapes.

whatever is decorating the sides of these trousers. And the hideous peach suede drape jacket. And all these colours...together.

another colour faux-pas. And this yellow grecian drape dress looks scary.

an example of an outfit where the proportions are completely wrong.
