Giorgio Armani Spring Summer 2011

Can someone please explain to me why Giorgio Armani always likes to put weird turbans on his models’ heads? Seriously, they look lame. Otherwise, this collection was very Armani, lots of well-cut tailoring and classic evening wear, all in navy blue. Not my cup of tea, but I have an incredible amount of respect for the business Giorgio Armani has managed to build, and the man can cut one hell of a suit.

I love…

a beautifully cut jacket.

the pleats and the shape of those pockets, this is a great pair of trousers.

slick taffeta evening pants.

a great little asymmetrical top.

sparkly blue Armani evening wear.

I loathe…

an unflattering silhouette. And those pants are too shiny, the fabric looks cheap.

gathers overdose.

those folds of fabric hanging off the waist. And what is on her head?
